Zippy Magana

Home Manager

I am Coxwell Hall’s Home Manager. I qualified as a nurse in 2000, and gained much of my experience in hospitals, care homes and within the community so I bring versatility and knowledge from a lot of settings.

During my 8 year tenure at Coxwell Hall  before coming back in 2023, I headed up the project ‘Like a Butterfly’ which has set out much of the practice we adopt today. I am also qualified to deliver SMI & LD health checks (for people with Severe Mental Illness and Learning Difficulties).

This is a role I enjoy very much, it means I can improve the quality of life for people living with dementia, ensuring they are physically safe and receiving personal centred care. I also really enjoy motivating my team, bringing them together to build an effective team.

At Coxwell we are a family full of laughter and warmth, and this makes it a very special place, bringing high quality care to our residents living with complex dementia.

If you cant find me here then I may be swimming or socialising in the community. I also love a good read, and if I escape then I would be off traveling to somewhere hot.

For those that don’t know me yet – I love a hug, I come from Kenya and also am the mother of one very handsome son, the first born of a family of three.
